Alpha 1 g2 exhaust bellows

The inboard side of my exhaust bellows came off today. Appears to have just slipped off, not broken. It was new last spring. Can it be fixed without removing the outdrive ? I should take it to the guy that put it in, but don't care to wait if I can put it back on and tighten the clamp.
 
there is a merc bellows adhesive that should have been used but might not have been. If it was, you'll need to sand it clean and reapply. They are a real bugger to put back on without the special forceps tool. 91-45497-A1
It will be a test of your patience but you can try. No way with the drive on.
Or, you can just leave it off or cut it off and go a bit noisier.
 
I didn't see your post back in June but I went through the same issue, except mine came off on the drive side. You're right, they can be made to go back on with the drive in place but it's a HUGE PITA!
 
I only brought it up because I finally got some miles on the boat at speed, everyplace around here has been no wake all summer- due to high water levels. It has stayed on so far. Now that I opened my mouth, It will probably remove itself again on Saturday.
