Alarm won't turn off.

I have a 81 60HP EVIN RUDE engine. My battery was dead so I tried to jump start it and switch the battery while it was charging. My engine works fine but the overheat alarm just stays on. I don't know what could be wrong. I'm thinking i might have damaged the temp sensor.

Disconnect the temp sensor and see if the horn shuts up. If it doesn't, you've got a wirng prob or else the horn itself.
