Looking for any guidance or someone that may have experienced this problem. Engine runs great but after a while a elevated rpms 4000 or 5000 overheat light and alarm goes off. Water was cool coming from pee tube on motor. Had mech. check thermostat and replace water pump just as a precaution. When checked with computer it showed no codes for overheating. After pump replacement I took it out had same problem. When pulled back to neutral alarm continued to sound and engine quit. Restarted all ok. Then noticed that tachometer was going crazy pushed throttle forward, reading 7000 rpm (no way). Hour meter had advance from 129 to 133 hours (no way). Came on in and tach continued to read crazy. Water from pee tube never even got warm. Anybody ever have this problem? Thanks in advance.
