Alarm sounding

98 merc 50hp 4 stroke... alarm is sounding, put in limp mode. Running temp is about 120-160. I disconnected the temp and oil pressure sending units, it's still alarming... any advice?

Is the buzzer itself defective ?-----Or a wire touching ground somewhere.

Not that I can tell. How would I diagnose a defective buzzer?
