I have a 1978 Johnson 70 HP.

I have a 1978 Johnson 70 HP.
How doI hook up my alarm horn. If the engine get to hot I want the alarm horn to work. The engine run to good to mess it up. What hot wire do I hook up.

"Describe your horn... plastic

"Describe your horn... plastic. metal, two contacts and one built in black ground wire, two contacts only? It makes a difference."

Run a wire from the "A&#34

Run a wire from the "A" terminal of the ignition switch to one of the horn terminals.

A wire is to be connected to the other horn terminal and is to lead to and be connected to a TAN wire that leads to the heat sensor that is in the cylinder head. That's it.

The overheat alarm on my 1992

The overheat alarm on my 1992 120hp Johnson goes off continually when I turn the key on. The motor runs fine and is not limited to the SLOW mode to indicate an overheating problem. I checked all of the the connections and tested the system and the problem appears to be at the engine and not the control system. Does anyone know of a reset for the system or should I be looking for a bigger problem.
