I have a pair of 454 Crusaders

I have a pair of 454 Crusaders in my 1990 boat. The hatches leaked and the manifolds rusted. I would like to replace them with an auto type alum. aftermarket intake manifold has any one tried this?

I haven't lifted the Dist. Cap yet. But would 1990 engines have points? There is no little door for adjusting on the cap.

One thing that I did with my manifolds to help out keeping them rust free was to powder coat them.

"IF you are interested, Stainless Marine in Miami makes a great set of manifold/risers probably 60 pounds lighter on each side and with better water flow passages. The only thing about them is they are (in my opinion) quite expensive. Check them out thought just for your own information"

Their products are starting to catch on but they do lots of business in australia where they are located. Only problem is you can't run closed loop on the manifolds. Otherwise, quality stuff.
