I have a 94 wellcraft eclipse

I have a 94 wellcraft eclipse 232. It has a 5.7 350 with a duo-prop volvo penta outdrive. I've seen boats with their exhaust coming out of the side or the back. I would like to have mine come out of the sides. y questions are:

What parts are going to have to be bought?

Should the openings on the side be above or below water?

Does this make any performance difference?

I'm open to any input regarding this profect.

"thanks for posting the link. that definately looks like what i was looking for.

in the picture it looks like the exhaust is routed straight out of the back. can i have it come out the sides?

Also, it looks like i won't have to replace my risers or hose connectors. in the bottom picture it looks like i have to cover the hole where the exhaust currently exits, piece 9. is that right?"

"1) You probably could, but I don't see any advantage by installing the exhausts through the boat sides.

2) Yes; for if you don't your boat won't be afloat for too long.
