" Pulled the head, replaced the head on the intermediate housing, but cannot re-connect the shift linkage to operate properly. It seems the connecting arm to the shift rod has relocated the shift pattern to the port side...too far to reach for the control arm. Could I have re-positioned the linkage during the head removal? Is there a way to reposition the linkage without pulling the head? I have a 1985 Yamaha 90hp. thanks "
