"I have a 200 evenrude , when I pull up the idle arm i realy do not get the engine to rev up . Belive it need a adjustment to tighten up ? Seems if i pump it engine starts yet takes a few times . Its a pain at the dock trying to get going . Any help on adjustment ?"
 
"pumping the warm up lever,or

"pumping the warm up lever,or throttle w/eng off,...does nothing but move ign adv,and carb butterflies.PUSH KEY IN WHILE CRANKING,w/warm up lever raised,or throttle in warm-up position,when eng starts,momentarily push key IN and release,sev times while warming up."
 
A worn out cable will prevent

A worn out cable will prevent proper ignition and throttle advance for starting----- Replace the cable if you do not get sufficient movement.
 
Should the engine not rev up a

Should the engine not rev up as the arm is pulled up seems its not its still low idle ?When its down its a lower idel . Is there adustments to make it rev higher when pulling up ?
 
If everything in the control b

If everything in the control box is good ----then it is a worn out cable ----internally that is you can not see this wear and the internal cable just does not move the end at the motor.Have your favourite dealer check this for you.
