Adding a temperature gauge - 1995 Johnson 150HP Ocean Runner

Id like to add a temperature gauge to my 1995 Johnson 150HP Ocean Runer
Looks like the head has a place with threads for the sender unit.
Has anyone added a temperature gauge?
Looking for any tips on what to buy.

Buy a water pressure gauge . A temp gauge will give the temp of that spot and is slow to react. A pressure gauge tells condition of waterpump.your warning system,off both heads talls you when its hot
