Adapter For Adapter

When I purchased the outboard (a 2007 Johnson 4hp 4 stroke) they sent me an adapter so I would not have to use the ears muffs on the leg when flushing it at the end of a days boating in the saltwater.
Unfortunately the threads were wrong and that is the only one they make so I was told.
Today I had time to make an adapter that would connect the 3/8" imperial thread to the M10 thread on the outboard.
A lathe certainly makes this work quicker.

Hi Coueytwo,
Thanks mate.

When I tested the unit yesterday I found it very hard to unscrew from the outboard motor with wet hands so I decided to knurl it.
I have only knurled a few things so I am not the best knurler. Had I known this needed doing I would have done it before I parted off the piece I needed.
As it is it is too short to knurl the whole thing and get it right now but my attempt solved the problem and now it unscrews easy as.
