"My boat is an '03 Regal 2

"My boat is an '03 Regal 2400, with a Volvo Penta 5.7 GXI engine.

After the handwritten "5.7 GXI" (on the original sales contract) there appears to be the letters "OP" (making the description "5.7 GXI OP").

The engine serial number is "4012090251" (I think - poor handwriting by the salesman!).

Question #1: What is the Model & Size of the engine? Can I check by cross-checking the SN?

Next

Question #2: Both the Tachometer and the Speedometer are "inop". Could there be a common cause for both of these to be "out" - such as a Circuit Breaker or Fuse?

"Bill, thats a General Moters 350cid block with a port fuel injection system on it, in 03 i Belive it was 300 or 310 horse. dont know what the op for, maybe original prop.the drives are sx, dp, and osdp. you dont say in question 2 if you have checked for the fuses, but yes there comon on there feed of power."

I've not checked the fuses. I will but the boat is at another location.

2 fuse locations, correct? Under the dash and on the engine itself?
