How do you get to the bolt und

How do you get to the bolt under the powerhead that holds the shift rod in place?? On the older units i could see the bolt and remove it very easy but I can't seem to get to this one. I want to remove the lower unit and replace the waterpump.

Remove the lower cowling or us

Remove the lower cowling or use a swivel on a long extension ..

"You need to remove the right handside lower cowl and the shift lever has a s clip through it...shift the lever manually into rev and the lever pushes in to disconect the shift shaft, it makes it easyier if you remove the philips head screw from the side of the carby so the lever can travel in towards the carby a bit more,"
