I have a 9.9 johnson model # J

I have a 9.9 johnson model # JIORENA. Could someone tell me what year it is. I dont know the history of the motor so would it be a good idea to replace the waterpump even tho it shoots good water when it runs? Do you know where a good place to purchase a maunal is?

my 9.9 keeps stalling intermit

my 9.9 keeps stalling intermitently at any throttle postion .If I pump the fuel line bulb quick enough it will recover and run ok for a little while. Does this indicate a fuel pump problem or a fuel line/tank problem.
