99 force by mercury 50hp

New here to this forum, have to say that it helps the weekend warriors tremendously. I have a 99 force 50 hp it has good compression . I have rebuilt the carb on it. The linkages for throttle and timing trigger have been messed so I decided to have a go at it. I will describe what I did ,and someone that has a service manual or is familiar with these motors please tell me if this ok or if possible send a procedure for carb cam linkages trigger set up etc. Thanks in advance also do i need to adjust carb after getting idle and wot timing right.

I remove gear cable so engine is in neutral
Remove spark plugs
Grounded wires to block
Turned ignition on
Pushed throttle all the way to the stop
Car butterfly was completely horizontal
Connected timing light to top cylinder
Connected push button tool to starter solenoid


Sticker on top of engine says wot 32 btdc
And idle or base 10 btdc

My timing light was showing 36 but to get it down to 32 I will run out of threads on trigger adjustment. This is why I'm thinking I need to do complete procedure to get it all back right

Also forgot to mention that the line on the carb cam are above the roller not center
