"hello,looking to see if anyone has had symilar problem.i have a 99 225 ficht motor on a 20 foot seacraft,it has run great since i bought it 3 yrs ago.problem started about a year ago would ocasionlly stall but start right up.seemed to happen after cruising for a while and then coming to an idle,while idling for a few minutes it would stall,and restart. now it will cruise fine but after running it will stall,crank over but no start.15 minutes later it will start,stall after a minute or 2.if you go right away it will not stall.the bad thing is my kids are in and out of the boat all day wakeboarding & skiing and we rarely shut the boat off to keep from wearing out the starter.when it wont start it loses spark and cannot hear injectors.got frustrated & put in back yard borrowed fathers boat.i ordered ficht diagnostic tester and it shows air temp codes and code 27 ecu controls spark on this one no external ignition module the way i understand it
i am leaning towards bad ecu and am going to contact dfi technologies this week.sorry post so long but trying to give as much info as possible
