"Last night I started digging
"Last night I started digging (deep) into my motor to resolve my compression issues ( CYL 1-4 120,60,30,60psi). This motor has close to 6000 hours on it and everything came apart nicely, it looks like it has 60 hours inside. Im replacing the conecting rod bearings, wrist pin brgs, rings, and 1 piston that had detonation and scavenging marks on it.
I noticed that the slpit-liner bearing ( both of the 2) had a crack across it. I think this is a 2 piece brng but I cant see the split for the 2 halves. The crack was only in one place and in the same spot on both. Is it 2 pieces? I have not tried pulling it off yet but that bearing is sold in 2 pieces and is held in by a retainer ring in a groove. There is no way the reatainer ring comes off the crank right?
