98 Mercury 200 hp EFI overheat problem.

I have a 1998 mercury 200 HP that is over heating. Could this be my problem?

I'd say it definitly is contributing to it. You've been driving it in the shallows a bit? Pull the thermostats and popit valve and back flush it. Replace the entire impeller assy. including the upper and lower housings. Remove the screens and flush the water intake.
