ok so i have a 98 25foot mako that is powered by twin mercs 150hp carb offshore models.......heres my problems.....boat starts fine little extra smokey then i would like but never the less it starts up.....ill run them for say 20 to half an hour to my fishing grounds shut them down while drifting for fluke or fishing the bunker and then after sitting for sasy 10 minutes or more the problems begin.....they dont start up right away unless i put the engiine into gear in nutreal position and choke the key and sometimes not right away.....then after i get them started and let them idle for couple seconds i start moving slowly then when i go to hit the throatle the engines just shut down....then they start up right away with just turning the key and same problem...someone said vapor lock? but this happens constantly and then i have to hit the throttle hard like 3 times to get it out.....also as this happens while turning the key 10 times to geet started my electronics shut off...well just my gps and then has to be restarted every time ..i guess to much cranking shuts it off?? any advice....

Do you have a fuel safty valve on your fuel tank or tanks?Good be bad causing fuel to drain back into your tanks. Also, known to drain the float bowls of the carbs as well.
Also, sounds like you have a fuel pump going out.Need to test your pumps psi.
Add some sea foam & Heat to your tank or tanks.Maybe water in fuel.
Or just may need a simple basic tuneup on both engines.Alway's the simple first.

try changing your prime bulbs, its a cheap easy repair with good results. as far as the smoke problems, what color is the smoke? If its the normal blue smoke, check that your mixture is right if its a premix. If its an injection model, you might look into that
