Are we to assume you did all the above fuel stuff because you have spark when it shuts off?Good afternoon everyone. I am new to doing this but I am at my wits end with this motor. If Anybody can point me in the right direction I have 98 250 ocean runner and have rebuild carburetors replaced all lines rebuilt fuel pump and replaced all the filters. Motor will start up every time but then shuts rite back off like someone shut the key back off. Every now and then it will stay running.
Has always been hard to start but that is the motor I know. It ran good last year. Went to run it and was like this. So figured bad gas plunged carbs from sitting and I do a lot off shore so just wanted to go through everything. But it getting frustrating. Even took it to a shop and they said cards. Even know they were done so figured I missed something and they did them again. Still the same so then they said it is fuel pump so I did that my self plus the lines and a new filter and mount also figured screw it and did plugs and wires at the same time. But still the same thing. Just seem to act like a safety switch it’s not a slow die like no fuel it shuts down instant. Can you post videos on here if so I will record it and put it on.Are we to assume you did all the above fuel stuff because you have spark when it shuts off?
