97 Johnson 130 Tilt issue

Hey everyone,

When I tilt the motor up or down the swivel bracket that the pump and tilt tube sits on, on the transom. It goes up an down fine but makes that noise. Once it gets down to the trim rams that part seems smooth. I do not see any zerk fittings anywhere to grease that swivel bracket part. Any ideas of why it is doing this or how I can fix. Thanks so much!

Salt water motor ?

yes, i recently got the boat but I believe it was in salt water.

Corrosion gets into the space between plastic bushings and aluminum housings.----Starts jamming pivot points.-----Cleaning is required I think.

How do I go about cleaning it? Below circled in red is the part that is pivoting and clicking. Thanks
