is there an adapter to wire a 3 plug motor to a older red plug type controls or a wiring harness that will work on my old controls to work on the newer motor

Yes there are / were adapter cables to go from ----old to newer----and ----newer to old .----Look it up under -----accessories ----parts pages on this site.
