96 Johnson Ocean Pro Tilt Issue

Seeking info from you guys as I know your experience. Have a 1996 150 HP Ocean Pro E150EXEDB. Tilt stopped moving. Motor sounds normal both on Up and Down. With motor up and supported outside rods will extend on up and can manually be pushed in on Down. Center Ram does not move on either. Raised- filled reservoir / lower-repeated several times. No change. Turn manual release valve counter clockwise several turns, then clockwise and seated tightly. Again repeated several times. Leaving seated. No change. Any idea's?

With the engine tilted to its full up position and locked there momentarily.... using a air compressor set to deliver 7 to 12 psi of air (do not exceed!), use a couple rags as a seal and pressurize the reservoir slowly.

This will force the fluid to flow under and into the oil pump of which I feel has a temporary air lock on the unit in that location.

Be sure to let us know if this cures your problem.
