"I have a 96 PCM GT-40 and completely out of the blue the motor won't continue running. We were using it before lunch, parked it at the dock to clean before putting in the lift, wouldn't start.
The engine cranks, fires, revs briefly (if I pull the trans button and push the throttle), but dies in less than a second like the gas was cut. Visually my tank is over half full (the float is sticky so I don't trust the gauge cold) so I know I have gas.
I am not hearing the fuel pumps spin up when I put the key to the "On" position, and all three of the circuit breakers appear to be on the closed position.
My guess is the relay for the fuel pump - any other thoughts before I start throwing parts at it?"
