96 evinrude 70 3 cyl losing spark.

I have a 96 70 HP 3 cylinder that I can't figure out why it will lose spark on top cylinder randomly. I've got new plugs, wires and coils and it will still lose spark at random. I believe the cdi box with it is aftermarket and not original. They're pretty expensive for a new one and trying to figure anything out before I buy one and see if that fixes it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is my first boat and motor.

Test timer base.----Test as the timer base rotates.----Could be a broken wire.----Check pins in the rubber boot connecters.

I've found a voltage and resistance chart on CDI electronics website and for my motor trigger ohms is saying open 400 - 500 I'm not sure what that means. All others are showing 15 - 50.
