96 Evinrude 150 Intruder

I just bought a 96 Evinrude 150 for my old Ranger. During the mounting process I noticed there was a small (maybe 1/8") 90 degree nipple that comes out between the middle spark plug and the powerpack. There is nothing connected to it. After attaching the engine to a water hose and starting the engine, there is a strong flow of water coming from the nipple. So, should there be a hose connected to this and if so, where does it connect at the other end?
Any help is greatly [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Tahoma,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]appreciated.
Thanks,

looks like the tell tale to show that the water pump is working. Should have a small hose that runs to a barb or a small hole on the lower cowling so that the water shoots out so you can see it.

look up your engine on the parts side of this site. They have great schematics that will show you what you need to replace.
