96 alpha one shift cable tool

I took the 9/16" deepwell socket and ground the back end into a semi-hex, then beat a 5/8" deepwell onto it. Worked like a charm.

Get a 3/8 in X 3 inch long extension, drill out the end to a depth of 1 1/2 inches with a series of drills starting with a 1/8 diameter untill you get to 5/16 diameter.

This will also get rid of the spring ball that would normally hold the socket.

Now this will give you enough depyth to use any long SIX point deep dish socket to remove and install the cable .......
