96' 50HP. still no power. Advice???

I have a 96' 50 hp that is killing me!

No power!

Specs:
16' Inflatable. Full/loaded (3 People and dive gear)

50Hp two stroke
-Replaced ALL electronics, swapped carbs from another OB, all seems good. Still goes 7mph W.O.T!
-New fuel system lines, pump, filter, etc.

At Wide Open Throttle it just bogs and can’t get out of its own way. Really, 7 mph..

It has a 11 3/4 x 17 Prop. Is it that simple as being over propped? No, I do not have another prop to try unless I go buy one.


I might have answered my own question but I could use the advice.

I have a 50 and use the same prop so I don't think it is your prop but I can't tell you what else it may be--OTTIS

16' inflatable 'soft' bottom or RIB?
Tried to pump more air?
Does it run ok with less load?

I have it on a 16' lowe boat with 3 people in and loaded to fish it runs fine about 30 to 33 miles per hour with no trouble smooth if you trim it up which I don't do it will get up to about 35 with me by my self I think you have other trouble not prop problems I'm no tech so I really can't say what may be your problem.
