"My carb has the lo-speed jet with the cable drive to the front of the motor.
That jet screws in so far, and begins to squeak as if its cross threaded.

The seller told me it would never run on slow speed. I think some humanoid had a little to do with that.
The problem for me is how to fix this:
Do I have to buy a new carb?
Is there a Tap for this?
I could use a little help here?"

"I'd suggesst that you remove that carburetor and take it to a machine shop. It's a very simple matter for them to clean those threads up on both the carburetor and that needle valve.

You could also take the needle valve to any reliable automotive shop whereas they could examine that needle valve and provide a tap so that you could clean up those threads yourself. Just don't go too far with that tap.

After the above, it would be a good idea to clean and rebuild the carburetor, using a complete kit. The kit might be available at NAPA."
