Hello,
I have a 1995 Mercury 8HP 2 stroke outboard. Would not start so checked the electrical and found the trigger to be bad. Replaced the trigger, cleaned the carb. Engine will start if I hold open the butterfly valve in the carb, and once it's running I can let it go and it will idle, but will not start with that butterfly valve in the closed position. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
