"My Vindicator is coughing a little and cutting out sometimes at idle and very low speeds. It runs great at WOT or between 2000 and 5500 RPM. I was thinking that maybe I should spray some deep creep into the carbs. However, I have no idea where to spray it? I'm attaching 3 photos of my motor and maybe someone could point me in the right direction. Also, what else could cause my motor to cough and sputter? Bad plugs?

"You could start by giving it a good cure of decarb. If You use the 'riginal' Engine Tuner from BRP, buy the can with the hose to attach to the primer solenoid. Unscrew the cap on the red lever and empty the whole can while keeping the engine running.
NOTE: Read the instruction on the can and follow it!
Furthermore check the temp at both cylinder baks that they are even and barely to touch at idle.
Check that all spark-plugs are even in color and of right type, QL77JC4 (Champion).
Check that the VRO pump makes a 'click' around every 20 sec at idle. More frequent might mean an air-leak or that it is time to rebuild the pump. This will normally be indicated by excessive smoking at idle as well."

"Thanks fort he advice. I'll check the plugs and listen to the pump. I've touched the cylinder heads and there's no overheating and it doesn't smoke excessively at idle. Pardon my ignorance, but from looking at the pictures could you tell me where I need to spray the cleaner while the engine is running? I have deep creep. Thanks!"

"On the middle pick, just in front of the fuel (VRO) pump You have a solenoid (Purple/white and black lead) with a red lever on. There should be a valve behind a red cap on 'top' of the lever. Screw off the cap - and there is the valve. Looks like a bicycle valve. No need to remove anything, but be prepeared to 'operate' the throtle link that goes between the carbs on top of the silencer box so the engine does not stall during injection. There might be a lot of smoke!!!!!!! The original BRP Engine Tuner Injection Can comes complete with hose and fitting for the valve."
