95 351 manifold overheat

The starboard side of my vdrive supersport is way too hot. You can't put your hand on it. I just had the crank replaced related to spining a bearing. The mechanic said the manifold didn't have the required gasket installed when he checked. The engine doesn't run hot, and the engine runs fine and strong. I'm stumped.

Oh, I just replaced the impeller, thermostat to 160 (had a 143 for 1 week before I found out it needed 160). Engine was running in driveway with hose connected to flush valve and had no leaks out the pickup from the bottom of the boat.

Well, since no answers, I'll answer myself for anyone who maybe had this problem. I replaced the manifold and all is well....
