94 115 Carburator Rebuild

On the boat carburators do most of you guys use the carb dip? Like you normally would do on cars to clean them? What does everyone suggest?

Carb soaking solution works. Spray carb cleaner also works on light contamination. Heavy deposits will be removed quickly w/lacquer thinner which is highly toxic to breathe or get on your skin. It is also volatile. Use it outdoors w/maximum ventilation. Use only on metal parts. It is very important that the idle circuit passages be blown out w/compressed air no matter what you clean the carb with.
