hey ya'll i bought a 94 javlin for the motor to put on my Tarpon. duiring change out i found the throttle cable broken so i replaced the shift and trottle cables. i wasnt sure how to adjust them so i just use comman sense and made sure i had forward and reverse gears and that my linkage at idle was against the dead stop. it really does good but i have no throttle in reverse , or at least its barely above an idol. i know it should be limited in reverse but its really barely above an idol. also im not sure that im getting full throttle because with thottle lever all the way forward the butterflys on my carbs is about half way. that may be normal im not sure. the boat scoots along about 34 mph as is. any way i have a manual and and know there is a drawn out proceedure for all the linkage and spark advance but was hoping there might be an easyer approch. thanks for your time
