92 mariner 40hp problem

when mt motor sits for 15-30 days or longer the carb bowls fill with oil. just started doing this approx. 6 yrs ago Had to repair shops several times and all they seem to do is clean the carbs and charge from 150 to 350. What is the answer to my problem?

Before you take the boat out of the water or after use if left in, disconnect your fuel line and run the motor until it runs out of gas. That will take care of your issue. Just run it on muffs when you get it home if the traffic doesn't allow to block the ramp a few minutes.

Oil from ther tank is filling the carburetors !----So running them empty does not help.----There may be a check valve that is faulty.----Serial # needs to be posted.
