92 75 Merc Stalling Under Load

"My dad's 75 merc is stall

"My dad's 75 merc is stalling out after 10 or 15 mins at 2/3 to full throttle. It starts up fine, and idles fine. It seems to be getting fuel. When I pull off the fuel line and pump the bulb right when it stalls it is pumping fuel. After choking the engine for awhile it eventually starts back up and will run fine again. We can troll for hours but if we try to run at 2/3 to full throttle again for any amount of time it will stall again. Is there a sensor or something that is getting hot that could be shutting the engine down. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated."

First try pumping the fuel bulb, with it still attached to rule out the fuel pump and inspect/clean/replace any fuel filters that you may have, plus ensure that the tank vent is open all the way and not clogged..."

"We tried pumping the bulb with no success. Also checked the vent hose on the boat (in the hull tank). I was able to blow through to the tank, I could hear the gas bubbling. I will change the fuel filter on the engine next. Anything else I should check? Thanks again."
