i bought a evinrude 120 hp v4

i bought a evinrude 120 hp v4 from a friend and it has no spark to 1 cylinder ive been told its the power pack is this true or could it be another problem or a list of problems motor looks in perfect shape and i know he paid alot of money for it a few yrs. back i have not taken a compression check yet any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

thanks mr. joe reeves and mr. d cramer i really appreciate the info would you be able to tell me why the engine would have no spark on 1 cylinder i heard it was the power pack could it be something else also thanks a bunch again lol
