I have 91 40 hp vro that will not idle on its own I can get it to start and I can work the throttle manuely but it will only do that for maybe a minute before it dies I have rebuilt carbs but did not remove and replace the aluminum plugs that came with the rebuild kits ,I has new plugs , fresh fuel and have checked compression its 125 psi on both cylinders could use some help any ideas on what I could try next be greatly appreciated

was fresh fuel added to old, tank cleaned recently, fuel lines inspected, carb throughly cleaned ? Gunk from last year still in fuel system? Primer bulb getting firm? You might have to pull carbs again soak over night, remove welch plugs, and clean every cavity in carb, Have fuel pressure checked on pump.

under welch plugs(aluminum plugs)are several tiny holes that need cleaning with a very small wire, they are part of fuel supply while at idle. maybe a sync-n-link after that.
