91 15hp spark issue

I have a 15 with no spark, I decided to replace the power pack under the flywheel and this did not solve my problem. I am now thinking that my problem could be the charging coil. Is replacing the charging coil the right direction for me to go? Anything else I may want to check? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
If it were me, I would go to the CDI website and look up your engine and use their troubleshooting guide to help you find your problem. It would be a lot easier and cheaper than throwing parts at it.
 
Thanks for the advice, I am going to check the ignition kill wire today. I thought that if you unplugged that wire then it would not get spark no matter what. For this small engine, the only
main sspark components are the power pack charge coil and coils correct? I dont think it is the coils because there is no spark on both plugs. The flywheel looks ok.
