90hp 2 stroke merc overheating

"My 90hp merc temp alarm goes

"My 90hp merc temp alarm goes off after only a few minutes at high rpm. Does not alarm at idle. New water pump has been installed and have good flow through tale-tale. Ran engine with thermostat and poppet removed, still alarms. Checked temp switch and it apears to be working properly, trips at 175 deg. Any suggestions??????"

I used a multi meter and therocouple tester and a lttle heat
