I was on the lake today and we cruised out and got all set up to wakeboard. Pulled a boarder around a few times with no problems. After about five pulls it seems like the trany slipped when I gunned it. If I took off slow it was fine. we stopped and let it sit for a little while and took off again with no problems. Just to be safe I called it a day and headed back in. The fluid looks a little dark reddish. It might be a little low. The trany was pretty hot. When I go from nutrel to forward I have to kinda pump the throttle a bit to get it to go into gear. I do this so it dont jump to hard which I know is bad on the trany. Any advice on what might be wrong? The motor only has 280hrs. The boat has been taken care of very well. I just bought it a month ago and the mechanic said everything looked good.
What kind of fluid should I get? It says ATF type A Do I have to go to a boat shop for that? Does the fluid have to be pumped out?
