I have a 90 GT150 VRO , I use a control box from an 82 evinrude 150. when I CONNECT THE CONTROL BOX AND TURN THE KEY THE FUSE CONNECTED TO THE STARTER RELAY BLOWS . i use the screw driver to see if there is a connection from the battery terminal to the positive side of the relay and the motor turns. Does any body have any suggestions ? do I need to try another control box that is newer or close to the year of my 90 motor or is there a problem with the ignition switch on the control box ?
