" Just started last year. May run great all day, or may just get started and a loud continous siren sound until you turn off motor. May be able to start right back up or may have to sit for a while before able to start motor without the alarm going off. Motor cuts out just before alarm sounds, but seems to be getting plenty of gas. Could it be the fire or the coil? Can not find anything concerning the alarm. Suggestions? "

" Scott,I'm no mechanic but sort of the same thing happened to me with different motor. The siren sound may be from a "overheat sensor" which is triggered when engine temp. is over 180 degrees, after engine cools for 5-10 mins.alarm goes off.Motor cuts out just before alarm goes off may be safety kill switch so engine doesn't blow.
