"I have a '02 90 Yamaha that suddenly won't start with the key, and won't shift into reverse. It starts and runs fine with the emergency pull rope. I'm guessing the key switch is "dead" because it "thinks" the engine is not in neutral? It does shift into neutral and forward easily, but no reverse, and no click or anything at the key switch. Kinda like if you tried to start it in gear, only the shifter IS in neutral.
Any ideas?
