thanks - looking for voltage drop - positive battery terminal was hot on start - really hot...That is correct.
thanks in advance - Have 1987 90hp and no manual - checking battery cable connections - please confirm cable connections at solenoid and starter - positive to solenoid bottom - negative to starter bottom
Looking at the photo you included with your post.... that does not appear to be a 4 cylinder engine. What am I missing here?
HOT CABLE = Loose cable connection..... Tight but dirty cable connection.... internally flawed (corroded) cable.
typing challenged - it is a 70 hp and has 3 plugs
isn't that the second wire - on the starter is the negative battery cable and the wire behind is the grounding wire.?Then the ground cable should be attached to that threaded stud on the lower front portion of the exhausr baffle plate.
