"I have a 90 hp Johnson, J90ELEOC, I don't know what year it is, but I was wondering what the correct spark plugs are. Also curious why people say not to use NGK plugs."
 
i used ngk on mine for a while

i used ngk on mine for a while but champions are whats rec from factory and different brand plugs have different heat ranges. when i changed plugs it seemed to idle different but couldve been just wishful thinking.

im on a different comp than normal so i dont have the site to find your year model but someone can help you from here theyll probably even give you the plug #s

What do I need to do to change my oil injected 90HP Johnson where it will run off of mixed oil and gas?
 
Absolutely no need to change t

Absolutely no need to change the fuel pump! The VRO pump can be used as a " fuel only pump " by blocking off the suction line to the oil side of the pump.

....i ran across that info and thought myself or somebody in the future may need it.

thanks for the heads-up about not having to replace the old pump ikia!.....and thanks to everyone for the help and knowledge!!!!

im not near as green on ob troubleshooting as i used to be, still wish it was as easy as workin on cars for me though."
