2004 EVINRUDE E90DSLSO
Hi: I've been told not to attempt changing these plugs on my own. Is this because they know my mechanical abilities or is there a special trick to it? I understand that it has to do with fuel injection. Is this something I could do with guidance or do I need to bring it to a shop? Thank you.
 
"The plugs should be indexed,

"The plugs should be indexed, which means taking a marker and drawing a line where the open side of the electrode is. Install plug and torque to 15 ft-lbs. You want the index mark to be facing the injector, if you are lucky it will fall in the 180 degrees of the injector, if not you can torque up to 30 ft-lbs. to get in that 1/2 circle."
