90/91 3.0l head cracked

My dads 3.0L alpha one overheated (idling, doesnt get hot going fast). After it cooled down I checked the oil, it looked fine and it started and ran fine. We pulled it out to check and replace te impeller. I ran out of time and my dad got impatient and took it to the marina to have them reinstall the lower unit, change the oil and tune it up. Engine ran fine when they finished but wouldnt start when they put it in the water. Hydrolocked. Cylinder or cylinders had water in them but not in the crankcase, they got the water out and fogged the cylinders. I pulled the head hoping for a blown head gasket, nope, head has a crack right thru one of the valve seats. Cant find any issues with the cylinders. What else should I be looking for, or can I be confident that the head is the only issue? And, any recommendations for a place to get a head? thanks!

Should have had a leakdown test run before removing head,Parts can be ordered on this website,home page

You might have water leaking in from the exhaust manifold. Pressure check it and maybe get the gasket surfaces milled flat as well.
