9.9 Mariner won't stay running

9.9 Mariner from the 90s. Some sort of fuel issue -- fresh gas, I cleaned the carb, replaced the primer bulb, it starts and runs as long as I'm squeezing the primer and it runs better with the choke out. Fuel pump?

You need soak and rebuild the carb with a complete gasket set. The gasket set will include the fuel pump diaphragm and primer parts.
