9.8 Tohatsu using oil

My 2012, 9.8 hp Tohatsu uses about 600 ml of oil every 3 days of running. Smokes at starting after sitting for a few days, but doesn’t smoke otherwise. Starts and runs fine. I ran a compression test and compression was 90 psi on both cylinders. Any ideas?

Hmm. Any sheen in the water?

No. I doublechecked that, and didn’t see any sheen.

Is the breather tube blocked?

I’ve never checked it. How do you check it/clean it?

It runs through the intake manifold.
